Marketing: Event Marketing
MetLife Stadium has an immediate opening for a Marketing and Social Media Manager. This position will focus on event marketing, promotions, and publicity to drive ticket sales for non-NFL events (concerts, soccer, college football, high school football, special events, and family shows). The position will also manage MetLife Stadium’s social media, website, and email marketing platforms. This is an exempt level position, reporting to the Director, Marketing & Communications.  Salary commensurate with experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Includes the following, additional duties may be assigned)
  • Manage marketing, advertising, and promotional activities including development of marketing plans to maximize attendance and ticket sales for select events. Work with tour promoters to amplify their marketing plans through internal venue marketing assets
  • Work closely with NY Giants and NY Jets marketing to support their ticket sales and marketing efforts
  • Oversee all official stadium online assets including social media platforms, website updates and maintenance, email database, and email marketing
  • Develop/build email database and social media following to drive ticket sales and fan engagement
  • Monitor social media networks, administer the scheduling of posts, and respond and communicate with guests directly
  • Work with external designer to create event marketing assets, venue signage, and any artwork other stadium departments need created. Ensure creative assets are delivered to media, partners, and internal departments as needed
  • Collaborate closely with the Box Office to ensure all event aspects are accurate and running accordingly
  • Prepare post-event recaps
  • Coordinate onsite coverage for day of event marketing needs including partner support, escorting press photographers, press operations, social media monitoring, etc. 
  • Assist Director of Marketing and Communications with local public relations campaigns along with coordinating media and press during events
  • Compile relevant demographic and event data for the sponsorship team
  • Maintain photo library
  • Establish local marketing and advertising relationships to form promotional partnerships and trade opportunities
  • Collaborate with other departments (Guest Services, Delaware North, Operations) to maintain brand consistency, improve guest communication, and event awareness
  • Marketing Internship Program:  determine candidate selection and assign projects/duties. Complete any necessary college evaluations for academic interns and adhere to specific college guidelines
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.  The employee must also possess the following:
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or related field
  • 3+ years of related work experience, preferably in arena, stadium, live event, or touring marketing.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power point, etc.) 
  • Outstanding ability to communicate effectively – both written and oral
  • Team player with excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize, and work under pressure 
  • Strong social media skills (posting, analytics, campaign development)
  • Ability to work irregular hours in addition to normal business hours as needed to cover events. This includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficiency with Ticketmaster, Google Analytics, Adobe Creative Cloud, Photoshop is a plus
Working Conditions:
  • Capable of regularly standing, walking, talking, hearing, and the use of hands to handle or feel; ability to climb stairs
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however, the noise level may be loud during events
Employee is required to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed due to the unique Stadium schedule.
