Facility Operations/Event Staff: Facility/Venue Management
MetLife Stadium, home to the NY Giants and NY Jets is seeking a Coordinator, Cleaning Operations.  We are searching for that unique individual who is a sustainability advocate and has experience in a large facility or venue.  This is an exempt level position, reporting to the Manager, Facility Operations & Cleaning.
The Cleaning Operations Coordinator functions as the direct liaison between New Meadowlands Stadium Company and the cleaning services contractor.  This position reports to the Manager, Facility Operations & Cleaning. The position is responsible for keeping the entire stadium cleaned and maintained at the highest standard of care to provide our guests with the best possible entertainment experience. 
 Primary Responsibilities 
  • Attends event meetings; reviews event calendar and coordinates/schedules work with cleaning services contractor accordingly. 
  • Inspect and prepare spaces prior to events and meetings. 
  • Takes proactive measures as necessary to limit or eliminate cleaning related issues. 
  • Maintains cleaning related material and equipment inventories and order lists. 
  • CMMS: 
  • Coordinate PM (preventive maintenance) scheduled work activities; add/edit records as required or necessary.  
 Special Project Cleaning 
  • Coordinates routine, non-routine and annual special project cleaning work activities with cleaning contractor around MLS event schedule. 
 Quality Assurance/Quality Control 
  • Conducts routine QA/QC inspections of all stadium spaces for cleanliness to meet our standards of care.  Reports results to cleaning services contractor, Manager of Facility Operations & Cleaning, and V.P. Guest Services.  Works actively with cleaning contractor to correct any deficiencies found and to limit repeat offenses. Seeks to enhance inspection results through the use of mobile inspection system. 
  • Inspects F&B spaces and works directly with F&B Manager to ensure all kitchen, pantry and concession spaces are kept in line with MLS and NJ Department of Health standards. 
 Sustainability Initiatives/Waste Hauling 
  • Works directly with cleaning contractor to coordinate in-stadium recycling initiatives, and assists with site parking lot program as required or necessary. 
  • Seeks to capture maximum amount of commingled (glass, plastic, aluminum and tin) and office paper/cardboard materials through innovative planning, teamwork, and execution. 
  • Coordinates all activities with waste haulers. 
 Training/Workplace Safety 
  • Develops training and safety outline; works with cleaning contractor to implement training and safety plan and maintains records archive of all training activities. 
  • As it relates to cleaning activities; seeks to proactively maintain a safe work environment at all times. 
 Integrated Pest Control Management 
  • Manages 3rd party pest control services agreement.  Ensures contractor is meeting or exceeding the specification and standard set by MLS.  Meets regularly with pest control representative(s) to review and modify pest control plan if required or necessary, review weekly activity reports, and manage pest control services budget. 
 Window Cleaning 
  • Coordinates pre and post event window cleaning activities. 
  • Coordinates quarterly, semi-annual, and annual window cleaning activities (including high window cleaning inside and outside fins/louvers).   This may or may not be an independent contractor other than the Cleaning/Janitorial Contractor. 
 Cleaning Equipment Maintenance 
  • Takes responsibility for overall condition of MLS owned cleaning equipment.  Coordinates regular and routine service and maintenance to extend the useful life of equipment and reduce downtime/lost time due to malfunction. 
 Snow Removal (as needed)
  • Assist in the Snow Removal process during winter months.  Tasks will vary and may include management, office work, equipment and material tracking, organizing teams and team leaders, general oversight, etc. 
  • Exhibits above average situational awareness.  Is able to identify problems and implement solutions to solve them quickly. 
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power point, etc) with an emphasis on familiarity with Excel. 
  • Minimum 3-5 years of related work experience. Experience in a large place of public assembly; arena, stadium, ballpark, convention center, etc. preferred. 
  • Supervisory experience. 
  • Must be sustainability advocate and have demonstrated 3+ years of experience & notable accomplishments in the areas of recycling, conservation, and Eco-friendly practices. 
 Employee is required to work days, nights, weekends and holidays as needed due to the unique Stadium schedule.
