JOB SUMMARY:
The Los Angeles Chargers organization is looking for a Revenue Manager to have oversight over the accounting and management related to revenue of the organization. This full-time position will ensure compliance with applicable policies and review contracts to ensure that revenue is recorded in compliance with GAAP. This person will work very closely with the sales and operations side of the organization to review contracts and rate cards, ensure proper accounting, cost of goods sold, and control over revenue. The ideal person for this position will have an excellent understanding of ASC 606 and Revenue Recognition rules, as well as experience as a senior accountant, have excellent analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of accounting principles. This person must be detailed, very organized, a self-started, adaptable to change and must be held to the highest standard of confidentiality.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage and be responsible for all sponsorship revenue and allocations as well as proper documentation
  • Review Sponsorship and Suite contracts
  • Assist in creating contracts
  • Work with operations regarding sponsorship, suite and ticket revenue
  • Manage invoicing as needed
  • Track cost of goods sold for sponsorships and suites
  • Assist with commission reports
  • Prepare schedules for auditors, tax accountants
  • Prepare Box Office Statement and League reporting
  • Analyze 606 contracts and revenue
  • Research GAAP and tax issues and topics as needed
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting functions when needed
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Assist in other projects as assigned by management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of senior or revenue accountant handling contracts and revenue recognition
  • Advanced in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient in financial systems – NetSuite experience a plus
  • Knowledge of ASC 606 and experience with application of standard
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management and organization skills
  • Extremely detailed oriented and must be able to be discrete and confidential with information
