Community Relations Coordinator – Bolts Community Crew
 
Summary:
The Community Relations Coordinator will support the mission of the Chargers’ Community Relations Department, with a priority focus on implementing Bolts Community Crew – the Chargers’ volunteer platform. This position will be responsible for outreach, sourcing, and execution of all volunteer events for Chargers fans, staff and partners. Furthermore, this position will support additional events and programming as assigned on behalf of the Chargers Community Relations Department and the Chargers Impact Fund. The Community Relations Coordinator position reports to the Director of Community Partnerships. 

Responsibilities for this position may include, but are not limited to:
  • Serve as the main point of contact - internally and externally - for the Chargers official volunteer platform: Bolts Community Crew
  • Implement strategic, large scale volunteer opportunities for fans, staff, and corporate partners throughout the year
  • Coordinate content and recap materials for Community Relations webpage and social media platforms 
  • Coordinate database and outreach to Bolts Community Crew volunteers 
  • Assist with planning and execution of team and Impact Fund community activations, including NFL initiatives, gameday, Training Camp, Community Tuesday and more

Minimum qualifications:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with volunteer events, coordination, and management of volunteers
  • Ability to work an event-driven schedule, including weekend, evening, and some holiday hours.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude that reflects the high public perception standards of the Los Angeles Chargers.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 3-5 years of Community Relations experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
