JOB SUMMARY:
The Los Angeles Chargers are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk. This full-time position will be responsible for complete cycle of processing vendor invoices with heavy seasonal volume (approximately 1,000 invoices and payments processed monthly). The role will also be responsible for communicating with vendors, reconciling accounts, and performing other payables functions. The ideal person for this position will have accounts payable experience and be detailed oriented. Experience with NetSuite and ChromeRiver is a plus, but not required. However, familiarity with similar modern accounting systems and ability to learn new systems/processes required. This person must be detailed, very organized, a self-started, adaptable to change and must be held to the highest standard of confidentiality.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Open, sort and distribute departmental mail
  • Open invoices, record receipt, and distribute for approval
  • Review approved invoices and code with proper general ledger account
  • Data entry of invoices into accounting software daily
  • Scan invoices into our system
  • Answer vendor phone calls
  • Research and resolve vendor invoice issues
  • Assist in maintaining ChromeRiver expense reporting system
  • Gather payment and vendor information
  • Provide administrative assistance for accounting department as required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 3 years of accounts payable experience and desire to continue a career in AP
  • Comfortable learning new accounting software systems
  • Comfortable in a paperless environment, but also with strong traditional filling/organizational skills and electronic organizational skills
  • Experience with NetSuite and/or Chrome River a plus
  • Basic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Office
  • Ability to process data efficiently and accurately
  • Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills
  • Extremely detailed oriented and must be able to be discrete and confidential with information
