Director, Business Development - Sponsorships & Integrated Media Sales

As we enter the 2019-2020 Season sales campaign, we have a terrific opportunity for a highly-motivated sales professional to help us build sponsorship and integrated media revenue for our final season in our temporary facility (ROKiT Field at Dignity Health Sports Park), as well as, start the sales process on our new home, The New LA Stadium at Hollywood Park.   


You will be part of the team that will transition us from our temporary home, and create our sponsorship and integrated media portfolio for the next 5-10 years.

We have developed a robust sponsorship activation platform including Corporate Partnership Assets (IP, Use of Marks, Content Development, etc. . .); Integrated Media Assets across Broadcast (Television and Radio); Digital (Chargers.com); Mobile (Chargers App); Social (Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram); and Experiential (Game Day, Non-Game Day, and Off-Season Events (In-Stadium and Out-of-Stadium)

We are creating content for these assets year-round to provide fans with inside access and a personal connection to our organization.

As we enter our 3rd season in the Los Angeles market, we are building our sponsorship and integrated media business by creating new relationships with corporate partners and advertisers looking to connect with an extremely engaged group of consumer segments.  

We are enhancing and differentiating our sponsorship and integrated media platform offering by building an extensive data-base of consumer segments whom are consuming our content. This will allow our partner advertisers to reach a mass audience, as well as, target micro consumer segments.


We support our Business Development professionsals with a Business Solutions team on the front end of the sales process (campaign strategy and proposal development) and a Partnership Services team on the back end of the sales process (partnership activation, servicing, and recap / renewal).  We designed our go-to-market strategy in this manner, so our Business Development professionals can focus on what you do best:  Creating new relationships; uncovering the specific business needs of potential partners; determining the decision making process; executing a specific strategic sales process amongst a variety of buying influences; and closing deals.  We are looking for individuals who have an entrepreneurial mindset, are hunters, and receive great joy in building their individual business.

Responsibilities:
*Prospecting for new potential sponsorship and advertising partners
*Pre-call research
*Phone or e-mail appointment setting to conduct a customer needs analysis
*Customized solution development
*Writing and creating proposals
*Presenting presentations
*Funnel / Pipeline management
*Closing business

Requirements:
*Minimum of 5-7 years in Sponsorship Activation and / or Integrated Media (Broadcast, Digital, Mobile, Social or Experiential) Business Development

*A passion for new business development through the development of direct client relationships and an entrepreneurial mindset

*Knowledge and sales experience in the Los Angeles / Southern California Media, Sports or Entertainment Market - or - quality sponsorship sales experience in another Major U.S. Market


*Proven success in prospecting, appointment setting, solution development, proposal writing, funnel management, and closing


*Understanding how to manage a complex sale with potentially several decision makers
