About the Jacksonville Jaguars and Bold Events
The Jacksonville Jaguars are a professional football team and a member of the National Football League. The Jaguars are one of the NFL’s youngest franchises, and played its first regular season home game on September 3, 1995. The Jaguars are owned by Shahid Khan, a visionary leader whose businesses include Flex-N-Gate, Fulham Football Club and All Elite Wrestling. The Jaguars play at TIAA Bank Field in downtown Jacksonville, Florida. Under Mr. Khan’s leadership, TIAA Bank Field has evolved to include some of the most unique stadium assets, including swim spas and 19 video boards, two of which are longer than a football field. 
 
Most recently, the addition of Daily’s Place has provided downtown Jacksonville with a new entertainment destination, as well as an indoor practice facility for the Jaguars. Sister company, Bold Events, LLC, operates business at Daily’s Place and TIAA Bank Field. Bold Events is responsible for attracting and planning major and minor events and programming. In its opening year, Daily’s Place hosted 31 concerts!

Summary
The Manager of Facilities Security is responsible for all safety and security operations of Daily’s Place Amphitheater to ensure guest, artist, and venue safety. This position reports to the Director of Facilities Security for the Jacksonville Jaguars while assisting in planning, coordinating, and management of all event security related functions within Daily’s Place Amphitheater and Jacksonville Jaguars facilities. This position will assist with the implementation and execution of policies and procedures for the efficient and safe operation of Daily’s Place Amphitheater, as well as assist with continued development, implementation, and maintenance of physical security measures and technology relevant to industry standards. Top candidates must have a proven history of developing comprehensive safety, security, and emergency preparedness strategies, along with developing programs and measures for events, facilities, and key assets. 

 
Job Responsibilities
  • Provides leadership and direction to the Security Manager and all full-time/part-time security personnel.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies with oversight of the venue’s operation.
  • Oversee 24-hour security operation for Daily’s Place Amphitheater during both event and non-event hours of operation.
  • Regularly inspect common areas to prevent any hazards, ensure proper safety procedures are followed and provide documentation of any security, fire, or safety deficiencies.
  • Ensure all employees and visitors have proper credentials for accessing controlled zones within the venue. 
  • Participate in budget/operations planning to set priorities and goals.
  • Assist in vetting outside resources; reviewing security contracts; overseeing investigations and assisting with crisis/incident planning and response.
  • Help to identify appropriate security technologies and solutions that will positively impact operations, fan experience and business objectives.
  • Schedule and lead contract security, law enforcement and medical services for events.
  • Interact effectively and in a professional and mature manner with clients and peers at all levels within an organization and throughout the community. 
  • Budget appropriately for each show's needs while working to reach the overall operating goal.
 
Job Requirements
Required
  • This position requires that the person be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, subject to applicable law.
  • Knowledge of fire evacuation procedures/drills and other contingency measures.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, minimum 5 years of prior experience directly responsible for managing all aspects of both the physical and electronic security posture in a large venue.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive supervisory management experience in security with direct responsibility building, supervising, and directing staffs across a wide range of operating functions.
  • Expertise in the proper staffing levels required for traditional arena-style events.
  • High-level understanding of principles and practices of safety, security, and risk management.
  • Maintain awareness of new developments and trends in the field of security and risk management.
  • Ability to work in dark, bright, smoky, dusty, cold and/or confined spaces.
  • Able to walk/stand for prolonged periods of time on hard surfaces.
  • Comfortable working around large crowds.
  • The position requires strong management, administrative, supervisory, training, presentation, consultant, and facilitator skills. Strong written and verbal communications are needed.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule to include evenings/nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
  • Skill in assessing security risks and needs.
  • Experience in special event security and public assembly venue security.
  • A good understanding of guest services and security roles in a facility environment.
  • Training relevant to crowd management/crowd control, security systems and emergency preparedness/response.
  • Proven strong organizational and time management skills including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Significant experience with access control measures, screening operations, and VIP security.
  • Proven track record in developing security plans, physical security assessments and risk assessments.
  • Execute other job duties as assigned.

Preferred
  •  Law enforcement or military experience.
