Job Description:  The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of the company’s weekly, bi-weekly and supplemental payrolls.  The position’s responsibilities include being able to effectively communicate with the internal team and outside customers to respond to inquiries and address discrepancies as they arise.  In addition, the payroll coordinator will also be expected to assist the Finance staff with general accounting duties as necessary.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and audit payroll information within company’s HR/Payroll Suite – Ceridian Dayforce.
  • Research and resolve day to day Dayforce payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing pertinent information.
  • Reconcile and process all payrolls including garnishments, deductions and taxes consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws.
  • Reconcile withheld taxes and gross earnings for quarterly tax reporting and annual W-2 processing.
  • Audit W-4’s, direct deposit updates and other employee generated changes within Dayforce.
  • Review, update and conform to company’s payroll internal control policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the preparation and coordination of the annual 401(k) and work comp audits.
  • Work closely with the Human Resources staff to manage and review employee information updates, reporting and ACA compliance.
  • Assist the Finance staff with the preparation of various audit requirements, reconciliations, ad hoc and NFL reporting and special projects as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Associates/Bachelor degree with 3-5 years payroll experience.
  • Experience with Ceridian Dayforce preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of payroll and skillful in learning new processes and systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to maintain confidentiality are essential.
  • Ability to effectively manage workload in deadline driven environment with willingness to work non-traditional hours as required.
  • Capable of performing essential job requirements with minimal direction as well as work well as part of finance team.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel.
