The Office Manager reports to the Director of Imaging and is responsible for directing and coordinating activities in the imaging center.  In collaboration with the Director of Imaging, ensures the implementation of plans, policies, and procedures regarding operations and staffing.  
Duties and Responsibilities – to include but not limited to:
  • Actively recruits, trains, and mentors all staff in accordance with the highest level of customer service for patient and partnership satisfaction. 
  • Routinely evaluates the performance of personnel, provides feedback, and, when necessary, takes disciplinary action.
  • Coordinates and directs activities of subordinate personnel engaged in performing X-ray, computed tomography, magnetic resonance, and sonography procedures.
  • Reviews work schedules, assigns duties to team members to maintain patient flow, achieve production goals, and oversees staff operation of imaging equipment.
  • Works in conjunction with the Medical Director to implement and/or delegates the monitoring of radiation safety measures to ensure safety of patients and that staff follows regulatory requirements.
  • Provides input into the development of policies and procedures. Upon approval, implements and administers these policies, initiating corrective action as necessary.
  • Gathers information on and investigates patient and associate incident reports.  Prepares reports reflecting findings for appropriate departments and/or outside regulatory agency personnel.
  • Works in conjunction with the Medical Director to oversee the maintenance of department quality control program designed to ensure the provision of high-quality patient care.
  • Oversees the ordering of necessary medical supplies and maintains the necessary inventory to ensure seamless operations.
  • Coordinates equipment maintenance in accordance to vendor guideline.
  • Reviews and evaluates equipment/supplies and recommends purchases as necessary.
  • Ensures medical records and files are properly maintained and directs preparation of reports and analysis reflecting departmental activities such as patient volume and equipment and supply usage.  
  • Instrumental in cultivating and maintaining relationships with all patient referral sources.
  • Participates as well as initiates marketing campaigns and collaborates with marketing representatives to help drive increased referral volumes.
