The Merchandise Planner & Analyst will develop and manage company financial
plans for sales, margin, receipts, and inventory that support strategic business objectives. This position will work very closely with the Product Manager to ensure product assortments are inline with financial and inventory goals.

  • Responsible for OTB inventory management, which requires strong internal partnership and review of sell-thru, while identifying the opportunities for reorders and mitigating out of stock risks.
  • Develop and manage company financial plans for sales, margin, receipts, and inventory that support strategic business objectives.
  • Forecast and analyze OTB on a weekly basis, managing flow of merchandise to support rate of sale based on target sell through, weeks of supply, and planned product life cycle.
  • Identify risk and opportunities by SKU through historical data as necessary to drive sales, recognize slow sellers and recommend profitable strategies to exit product in timely manner.
  • Work with Project Manager to suggest products for marketing campaigns based on SKU sales potential, seasonality, and inventory flow.
  • Forecast and re-forecast sales, receipts, margin and markdowns on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Set planning calendar to strategize mark down and transfer phases according to product life cycle and identify and propose resolutions for overstock liabilities while balancing margin targets.
  • Identify product promotional strategies in partnership with Product Manager and Marketing teammates.
  • Maintain a streamlined reporting process, extracting and unpacking large amounts of transactional data quickly and efficiently for standard and ad hoc analyses.

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years of retail merchandise planning experience, eCommerce a plus
  • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent analytical and retail math skills
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven experience with inventory control, allocation, merchandising, demand forecasting, financial planning or analysis
  • Ability to meet deadlines with little to no supervision
