The Junior Server Administrator position will manage daily operational incidents and alerts, contributing to overall enterprise application availability. This position will perform a variety of technical tasks including patching, backups, ticket resolution, performance monitoring, and system documentation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintain best practices on Active Directory and Office 365 as far as users, licensing, access and functionality 
  • Provide business continuity through thorough back-up and restore procedures, and periodic testing 
  • Manage monthly Windows patching scheduling and configuration 
  • Ensure high availability and acceptable levels of performance and security 
  • Develop and maintain procedures and documentation for operation and restoration of systems and applications 
  • Monitor the proper operation of the data center and computer systems including hardware and software 
  • Ensure server performance and maintain/update/configure applications on servers 
  • Perform and oversee continuous system health checks, user administration, and application upgrades 
  • Ensure compliance to security standards, policies and guidelines 

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must meet the following minimum requirements:
  • 2 years experience with enterprise administration, specifically in the management and configuration of Active Directory and Windows Server environments 
  • Some experience in powershell, automation, scripting, and orchestration 
  • Knowledge of storage, network, domains, and converged infrastructure 
  • Certification in one or more of the following is preferred: o Network + o Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) o VCP o Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) 
  • Strong decision-making abilities 
  • Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and responsibilities 
  • Availability to work standard support hours (M-F, 8:30 – 5:30) along with occasional after-hours and weekend support.
