Event Staff and Access Management Captains are responsible for front-line staff supervisors during stadium events.  The Captain’s leadership is a critical role in providing exceptional experiences for our guests.  Captains are an “ambassador” for the Cowboys management team and AT&T Stadium, ensuring that our facility looks its best and our guests get the assistance they need by actively monitoring and managing a team of front line staff supervisors.  In addition, Captains work with Cowboys management making sure that policies & procedures set forth are carried out, and act as a listening post to our front-line staff needs and issues providing management with feedback and suggestions. The Event Staff & Access Management Captains report to the Guest Services Coordinator & the Security Coordinator.
 
Job Duties:  
  • Arrive early on event day to check-out necessary equipment & distribute to designated supervisors
  • Attend event briefings and retain information for dissemination to supervisors & front-line staff
  • Coordinate with supervisors that building is ready for guests including reporting maintenance issues, and make certain all areas are properly maintained
  • Ensure that staffing levels are appropriate during events and that staffing resources are properly briefed, deployed and redeployed as necessary 
  • Monitor and respond to radio transmissions from supervisors
  • Be visible and interact with guests
  • Review staff and supervisors throughout event, coach as necessary
  • Organize the release of staff, lost & found items, and supervisor equipment check-in
  • Remain post event to complete paperwork, check-in equipment, and debrief with management team
  • Perform other functions and activities as directed by the Event Operations Department.  
 
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Business, Communications, Sports Management or a related area of study preferred
  • 2+ years of experience supervising employees (stadium, arena, convention center, performing arts facility preferred) 
  • Ability to obtain a Security License in the state of Texas
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally
  • Able to simultaneously manage a high level of detail across multiple projects
  • Able to demonstrate flexibility and quickly adapt to changes while maintaining high levels of productivity and effectiveness under pressure
  • Able to work well within a team environment, offering assistance and support to team members whenever necessary
  • Able to balance internal priorities with management expectations
  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Able to stand for up to 10 hours 
  • Able to withstand various weather conditions such as, but not limited to, 100 degree plus and below freezing temperatures
  • Able to work flexible hours, including every Cowboys home game and large third party events
