The Dallas Cowboys Football Club is seeking motivated individuals who are interested in a career in Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence. This position will provide an opportunity to develop data pipelines and ETL processes while introducing valuable analytics capabilities to the organization. Our interns will gain hands-on experience and work with internal stakeholders and our Technology staff to execute Business Intelligence initiatives. 
 
 
JOB DUTIES
  • Support legacy solutions while delivering new business capabilities.
  • Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, data quality controls, dependency, and workload management.
  • Define and build data pipelines that enable faster, better, data-informed decision-making within the business.
  • Document and communicate required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality, including design documentation, database diagrams, class diagrams, flow diagrams and other relevant documentation artifacts.
  • Identify gaps in data management standards adherence, and work with appropriate partners to develop plans to close gaps. 
  • Adhere to the delivery/release process and cadence pertaining to iterative/agile modern data warehouse development.
  • Perform data profiling and research and apply recommendations to solution design.
 
 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree (earned or in progress)
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL required
  • Solid knowledge of data warehouse systems and architecture (star schema, snowflake schema, dimensions, measures, slowly changing dimensions, etc.)
  • Understanding of data modeling techniques; Experience with modern engineering practices and cloud computing (Snowflake/Azure)
  • Familiarity with various data objects/files such as relational data, JSON, CSV, XML, Data Lakes, and unstructured data solutions
  • Experience with business intelligence tools and reporting solutions (Tableau and Alteryx preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills along with detail-oriented nature 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Desire to collaborate with others
  • Ability to pro-actively anticipate obstacles and create solutions
  • Available to work standard office hours (M-F, 8-5)
  • Available to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, extended hours as needed
