About the Position
As part of the Business Analytics team, the Data Analyst, Partnership Insights will be responsible for the reporting and analysis against the analytics needs of internal corporate partner teams to enable data-driven activation and drive efficiencies through developing automated reporting/dashboards, maintaining related systems, developing new processes, and implementing testing. They will report to the Manager of Business Data Science and work closely with our corporate partnership team.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of the data science team to identify, develop, and implement analytics solutions to satisfy key business information needs
  • Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis from multiple data sources, with the goal of understanding impact, reach, and return on objective & investment for corporate partners
  • Utilize internal and external research to build data visualizations that demonstrate overall partnership performance and critical benchmarking metrics
  • Guide inventory/rate card evaluation and pricing methodology across all properties to set appropriate valuation of new & existing assets
  • Assist with data components of presentation creation
  • Use statistical techniques to cut through the noise and identify the root causes and effects observed in data
  • Exhibit extraordinary passion to solve problems independently and as a member of a team
  • Work closely with data architecture & application development team to ensure data quality
  • Work closely with CRM & Email Marketing Manager 
 
Required Experience & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, other related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), experience with advanced Excel data functionality such as vlookup, pivot tables, & solver
  • Proficient in SQL, preferably SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio)
  • Experience with data visualization tools and techniques
  • Experience with scripting languages such as R or Python 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable and profitable opportunities for the business
  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish working relationships with individuals at varying levels within the organization
  • Ability to adapt to new situations and learn quickly
 
Desired Skills
  • 1-2 years of experience in sponsorship, marketing or advertising role with a specialization in strategy, research, consumer insights and/or analytics
  • Experience creating Tableau workbooks
 
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
  • This is a full-time position.  Must be able to work flexible hours including some evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
