Event Management: Event Operations/Management
Reports directly to the General Manager of Insignia Event Services

Summary: Under the direct supervision of the General Manager, the Director, Events will oversee
day to day operations and provide direct support to all departments, all events, and all clients. They will help develop a short and long-term strategy for company. This includes organizing and
managing events, sourcing clients, obtaining assets, assist with other departments and oversee
part time operations team. This role will also be responsible for the detailed coordination between all departments within Insignia Event Services. Current clients include the Arizona Cardinals and numerous events held at State Farm Stadium.

Primary Job Duties:
1. Participate in budget planning process and assist in budget analysis. This includes
revenue and expense management as well frequent forecasting.
2. Assist GM in building and developing a new and growing business.
3. Event Operations: layout, set up/break down, overall organization of entire event (front and
back of house), the ability to build repeatable processes and guidelines.
4. Oversee coordination of cost estimates, rentals, proposals, invoices, and labor allocation
for all projects and events executed.
5. Must have ability to create and review P&L’s at a high level.
6. Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment
7. Help manage and grow all vendor and client relationships.
8. Work with staff (part time and full time) to get their best performance while representing
Insignia in a professional and ethical manner.
9. Ensure safety regulations are followed and that each employee has the best working
environment and processes, resulting in the best event staff and customer service possible.
10. Ensure that all Accounting Department requests are resolved and communicated in a
timely manner.
11. Set protocols and processes to ensure the business is running efficiently and effectively.
12. Investigate client satisfaction, evaluating and correcting any and all issues.
13. All other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  •  Strong verbal, written communication skills along with outstanding time management skills
  •  Basic accounting and financial management experience
  •  Self-motivated and must maintain sound decision making and a positive attitude in stressful
  • situations and in a fast-paced work environment
  •  Must have minimum of 5 years of operations experience with sports or live events
  •  Ability to manage several events/projects at one time
  •  Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  •  Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience in related field
  •  Ability to think quickly on your feet
