The Dallas Cowboys Content Team is looking for an experienced video editor dedicated to creating premium and compelling content for the Dallas Cowboys Event Presentation Department. This position is responsible for the creation of in-game content for all Cowboys home games, as well as events produced by the Dallas Cowboys Event Presentation Team at AT&T Stadium and The Star including Draft Party, Training Camp, Watch Parties, The Star District events and more.  This position will have dual-reporting responsibilities between the Content and Event Presentation department while being dedicated to fulfilling the content needs of Event Presentation. This position reports to the Senior Motion Graphics Designer and offices at AT&T Stadium.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Post-production, editing, compositing and special effects
  • Skilled editor within Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Assist with game day editing duties in the control room
  • Experienced DSLR shooter
  • Creating storyboards for video content
  • Proficiency with motion graphics and Adobe After Effects
  • Quality control of projects from concept to completion
  • Identify new techniques and what it takes to remain on the leading edge in technology and software in live entertainment content
  • Available to be on location for all Cowboys home game and additional events produced by the Event Presentation department
 
Video Production:
  • Create video content as well as graphic elements for the in-game production of all Dallas Cowboys home games
  • Work closely with the Event Presentation staff and Content Team on all ideas and concepts for content
  • Knowledge of sports and the ideation process of creating content for live events (sports)
  • Knowledge of video compression, transcoding, and encoding. Specifically strong familiarity with various video codecs used in digital workflow
  • Assist with on-location shoots with players and other talent

Additional Duties:
  • Content creation for other 3rd party events as needed for AT&T Stadium, Ford Center at The Star and other related events on The Star Campus.
  • Live Event editing during Cowboys Home games building highlights, roll outs, and short music videos using real time footage
  • Assist Event Presentation Department with additional internal content request needs from other departments

Required Knowledge/Skills/Job Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skill and Ability:
  • Strong creative skills and knowledge of sports entertainment in a production environment
  • Solid understanding of editing techniques 
  • Interest in sports, culture and entertainment
  • Ability to work well under pressure and on multiple projects
  • Ability to collaborate and work well with others
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent trouble-shooting abilities
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Must be self-motivated and possess a passion for maximizing production value 
  • Must be proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite with emphasis in Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop
  • Must be able to work flexible hours (including weekends and holidays) and on tight deadlines

Education and Formal Training:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or comparable experience in live entertainment and video production 
  • Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects expertise with proficiency in other Adobe creative applications

Experience:
  • Preferred 4-6 years of professional video production experience utilizing various post production techniques.  (Football/Sports/Entertainment background a plus)
 
Material and Equipment Used:
  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Microsoft Office
