Event Management: Event Operations/Management

The Arrowhead Events Seasonal Assistant is a seasonal position with Arrowhead Events, the event booking and production entity of the Kansas City Chiefs and Arrowhead Stadium. Arrowhead Events is responsible for making Arrowhead Stadium an entertainment destination by attracting/developing concerts, college football, soccer, motor sports and various other events to Kansas City. This position will have the opportunity to learn from and experience many of the largest events in the Midwest and support the department with various tasks including but not limited to those listed below. 

  • Assist with the planning, logistics and implementation of events
  • Assist with the operation of Chiefs Training Camp
  • Creation of timelines & calendars
  • Research events & best practices 
  • Attend departmental and event specific meetings 
  • Support the corporate events department as needed
  • Support Chiefs game day and event activities as assigned
  • Assist with developing and attracting future events to Arrowhead

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in event operations/planning
  • 4-year undergraduate degree at an accredited university or college in the field of business, marketing, sports management, facility management, etc
  • Demonstrated knowledge of event industry terminology, facility capabilities, operational procedures, event coordination and event-related services
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Must have good time management skills.
  • Must be able to establish solid relationships with staff and clientele.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications, word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation and Internet software.
  • Must be available to work varied days and hours, on weekends and in the summer heat.

  • Seasonal will work remotely until start of 2021 NFL season (TBD -- subject to change). 
  • All applicants must be able to successfully complete NFL COVID Vaccination certification.
