Event Management: Event Operations/Management
The Event Sales Manager is a full-time sales position with Arrowhead Events, the event booking and production entity of the Kansas City Chiefs and Arrowhead Stadium. The primary focus of this position is to generate revenue through securing and producing public and private events at Arrowhead Stadium and surrounding property.

  1. Generate leads, prospect, and develop clients and events with focus on mid-size scale 
  2. Maintain, develop, and manage a sales database including record keeping of key contacts and sales communications
  3. Design, develop, and partner in producing unique content for Arrowhead Stadium and surrounding event space
  4. Generate event proposals and contracts. End-to-end contract development, negotiation and execution
  5. Achieve individual and team i) revenue and ii) content development goals
  6. Collaborate with other sales personnel in development of marketing plans, collateral materials, inbound and outbound sales solicitation processes
  7. Collaborate in development of comprehensive sales training to support short and long term objectives of Arrowhead Events including sales training tools, standard operating procedures
  8. Collaborate in enhancing sales and guest satisfaction surveying and development of process to review and continuously improve
  9. Research, analyze, and develop special event profit generating opportunities
Perform some responsibilities on day of events including entertaining clients

  1. Qualified candidates must possess superior organizational skills and be able to function in a fast-paced, multi-task setting.
  2. Individuals must possess excellent listening, oral and written communication skills, as well as, exemplary negotiation and closing skills
  3. Use of analytical skills to identify and improve performance and execution will be necessary
  4. Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner\
  5. Plan, organize, and implement projects and tasks within an allotted timeframe
  6. Work with others in a professional manner while attempting to achieve a common goal
  7. Ability to think strategically and creatively
  8. Knowledge of the event industry and specifically the local and regional market
  9. Exercise creativity, discretion, and independent judgement in determining how to assemble an event

  1. 4-year undergraduate degree at an accredited university of college in the field of business, marketing, communications, etc
  2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in successful events sales, production, and development
  3. Demonstrated ability to be creative in revenue generation opportunities 
  4. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Ungerboeck Software preferred
  5. Food and Beverage knowledge preferred

    40 hours per week + nights and weekends as necessary.
