About the Position
As part of the Haslam Sports Group Business Analytics team, the Manager of Business Insights & Analysis at the Cleveland Browns will be responsible for providing insights and analysis related to the key areas of our business: Ticketing, Marketing, & Corporate Partnerships.  This role will work to drive business efficiencies by conducting analyses, summarizing findings, creating new processes, and implementing testing through collaborative efforts with key stakeholders in each area of the above-mentioned areas of our business. They will report to the Haslam Sports Group Director of Business Analytics, lead a team of 3 analysts, and work closely with the other 2 focus areas of our Analytics team: Data Architecture & Application Development and Sales & Marketing Systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as part of the analytics team to identify, develop, and implement analytics solutions to satisfy key business information needs.
  • With the support of our Ticket Analyst, analyze ticketing data & propose recommendations for Season & Non-season ticket pricing.
  • With the support of our Corporate Partnerships Analyst, measure corporate partnership ROI, assess asset values, & propose updates to pricing of partnership assets
  • With the support of our Marketing & Consumer Insights Analyst, leverage data from internal & external sources to develop an understanding of customer behaviors of known & unknown fans and use information to inform marketing & sales efforts
  • Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis from multiple data sources, with the goal of driving improved business results.
  • Utilize internal and external data & systems to establish an understanding of customer behaviors and information.
  • Conduct consumer research & build data visualizations that provide insights into critical benchmarking metrics related to consumers
  • Use statistical techniques to cut through the noise and identify the root causes and effects observed in data
  • Exhibit extraordinary passion to solve problems independently and as a member of a team
  • Work closely with Data Architecture & Application Development area of Business Analytics team to ensure data quality
  • Work closely with CRM & Marketing Automation area of Business Analytics team to appropriately set lead scoring & asses conversion rates of various sales & marketing campaigns.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, other related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a research and/or analytics role or environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), experience with advanced Excel data functionality such as vlookup, pivot tables, & solver
  • Proficient in SQL, preferably SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio)
  • Experience with monitoring & setting product pricing, preferably with tickets and corporate partnership assets in the sports industry.
  • Experience with data visualization tools and techniques
  • Experience with scripting languages such as R or Python
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable and profitable opportunities for the business
  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish working relationships with individuals at varying levels within the organization
  • Ability to adapt to new situations and learn quickly

Desired Skills

  • 3+ years managing analysts or staff of similar focus & skillset
  • Experience and understanding of analysis work in the sports business industry
  • Experience creating Tableau workbooks

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time position.  Must be able to work flexible hours including some evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
