 About the Position 
As part of the Business Analytics team, the Data Analyst, Marketing & Consumer Insights will be responsible for the reporting and analysis against the analytics needs related to consumer information to enable data-driven activation and drive efficiencies through developing automated reporting/dashboards, maintaining related systems, conducting analyses, summarizing findings, creating new processes, and implementing testing. They will report to the Director of Business Analytics and work closely with our Sales & Marketing teams, as well as the other focus areas of our Business Analytics team.
 
Key Responsibilities 
  •  Work as part of the analytics team to identify, develop, and implement analytics solutions to satisfy key business information needs related to marketing & consumer insights. 
  •  Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis from multiple data sources, with the goal of understanding consumer behaviors and ultimately driving improved business results. 
  •  Utilize internal and external data & systems to establish an understanding of customer behaviors and information 
  •  Conduct consumer research & build data visualizations that provide insights into critical benchmarking metrics related to consumers 
  •  Leverage data from internal & external sources to understand full picture of known & unknown fans and use information to inform marketing & sales efforts 
  •  Integral part of operating rewards program and making decisions based on customer behaviors 
  •  Use statistical techniques to cut through the noise and identify the root causes and effects observed in data 
  •  Exhibit extraordinary passion to solve problems independently and as a member of a team 
  •  Work closely with data architecture & application development area of Business Analytics team to ensure data quality 
  •  Work closely with Manager, Customer Strategy on Marketing team to define customer journeys 
  •  Work closely with CRM & Marketing Automation area of Business Analytics team

Required Experience & Skills
  •  Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, other related field, or equivalent work experience 
  •  Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), experience with advanced Excel data functionality such as vlookup, pivot tables, & solver 
  •  Proficient in SQL, preferably SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio) 
  •  Experience with data visualization tools and techniques 
  •  Experience with scripting languages such as R or Python 
  •  Experience working with rewards programs & utilizing data to drive consumer behaviors 
  •  Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable and profitable opportunities for the business 
  •  Understanding of customer journeys and ability to leverage data to drive journey decisions 
  •  Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills 
  •  Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish working relationships with individuals at varying levels within the organization 
  •  Ability to adapt to new situations and learn quickly 

Desired Skills 
  •  3-5 years of experience in consumer insights role with a specialization in strategy, research and/or analytics 
  •  Experience creating Tableau workbooks 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work 
  •  This is a full-time position.  Must be able to work flexible hours including some evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
