The ORLANDO APOLLOS of The ALLIANCE OF AMERICAN FOOTBALL are seeking a Stadium Operations Assistant for our Orlando, FL professional football team and will work out of our Headquarters in downtown Orlando and at Spectrum Stadium on the campus of UCF. Candidates with experience with sports and entertainment experience are preferred.  The position reports directly to the Director of Stadium Operations.  Weekly schedule would vary, would be for approx. 20-30 hours per week, as well all remaining 2019 home games (2/23, 3/16, 4/6, 4/14, 4/21).

JOB SUMMARY:
This seasonal position provides support to the Orlando Apollos’ Director of Stadium Operations and to The Game Operations Unit with The Alliance of American Football.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist with the return of rentals for golf carts, radios, officials van, portalets, and other misc. gameday equipment. 
  • Assist in distribution and compilation of game operations notes to Apollos’ staff. 
  • Assist with removal and storage of gameday directional signage. 
  • Assist with diagram or procedure updates by editing existing docs or creating documents needed to improve for future games. 
  • Aid in facility deliveries and security calls.
  • Finish compiling and organizing game day notes from Apollo’s staff, resulting in a post-game report we will review and distribute for future planning.
  • Assist in home game day planning and general facility operation needs. 
  • Will execute process improvement tasks that will stem from our home game operations notes. 
  • Begin execution for game days. Go through the checklist for items put together by the Director of Stadium Operations  related to business operations for upcoming events such as group sales events, premium seating areas
  • Will process single game credentials from the list provided by Director of Stadium Operations, radio prep & distribution, directional signage, pre-game events, post-game events, and others as assigned.
  • Assist in pick up of officials shuttle van. Aid in facility deliveries and security calls.
  • Check different areas of the stadium for correct staffing levels or equipment setup.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Stadium Operations, or AAF Personnel

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in working in a live event environment in the sports & entertainment genre
  • Excellent communications and asset management skills
  • The ability to deliver quality work at high volume in a tight timeframe
  • Must be highly self-motivated, organized, creative, and multi-task oriented with excellent written and verbal skills
  • Proficiency in Google platforms
  • Must be able to work well in a publicly visible, high pressured and deadline-oriented environment and maintain a positive team-oriented attitude within the department and the company at large as well as with fans, vendors and our team.
  • Should have proactive can-do attitude, and significant flexibility required with highly consistent, predictable, reliable performance record. 

HOURS:
  • This position is open until filled and will begin immediately following processing within The Alliance of American Football HR System and continue through the end of the 2019 AAF Season.
  • Mondays, 9am-5pm
  • Wednesdays, 12pm – 5pm
  • Fridays, 9am (or noon on non event weeks) – 5pm
  • Gamedays, six (6) hours before game time
  • Home week hour total – approx. 25-30 hours
  • Away week hour total – approx. 18-25 hours

COMPENSATION:
Minimum wage $8.46 (+ hands-on experience and potential to grow network)
