Sponsorship Sales & Activation: Corporate Sponsorship Sales
Primary Responsibilities: 
The Director of Partnership Sales primary focus will be on generating new business, renewing current partners, and developing and supporting the sales team. He/she will meet directly with new partner prospects on a regular basis in order to increase overall sales and investment opportunities for the 49ers along with Levi’s® Stadium events. The Director of Partnerships Sales is responsible for generating leads, driving revenue as well as overseeing the sales team by developing outreach strategies, evolving our customized presentations, developing new innovative inventory, conducting weekly sales meetings/trainings, assisting in negotiations, and managing workflow/resources.  In addition, he/she will need to work closely with the Director, Partnership Activations and other key internal stakeholders.  This role will report to the Vice President, Corporate Partnerships.
Secondary Responsibilities:
  • Develop newsworthy innovative partnerships that pioneer new categories, inventory, campaigns/platforms, and/or partner integrations.
  • Conduct annual sales account draft and manage sales team’s sales outreach activity
  • Host weekly sales meetings and group outreach sessions
  • Seek, manage, and provide useful sales tools/resources for the sales team
  • Identify open categories and inventory, and develop a “go to market strategy” to close open categories and inventory
  • Manage development of proposals, proposal process, and sales materials
  • Oversee management of all sales inventory via CRM, internal stakeholders and media partners
  • Assist sales team in creating urgency, negotiations, and closing new and renewed partnerships
  • Work closely with all departments within the organization to help maximize revenues
  • Attend and facilitate all partner and prospect hospitality events
  • Complete weekly sales reports and provide continuous communications to executive team on revenue status/updates
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Vice President, Corporate Partnerships
Measurements of Success:
  • Build and sustain partnership revenue generating leadership by achieving and maintaining "top quartile" in NFL corporate partnerships in total partnership revenue
  • Achieve sales goals as established by Vice President, Corporate Partnerships
  • Renew partnerships at a rate that achieve “top quartile” in percentage of total renewed revenue
  • Create new initiatives that help market, promote, increase revenues of franchise
  • Serve as the model franchise in professional sports in corporate sales
  • Help develop a strong staff who are league and sports team leaders
  • Create innovative corporate partnerships that help market, promote, increase revenues and brand awareness of the San Francisco 49ers
  • Conduct business in a manner that will promote the San Francisco 49ers’ mission statement to create the most valuable and respected professional sports franchise
  • Display strong written and oral communication skills
  • Provide support for all San Francisco 49ers departments as a team player
Education / Experience:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree, ten (10) years experience in sports, event and entertainment sponsorship sales with extensive facility and team sales experience
  • Experience in closing long-term integrated partnerships
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to develop strong working relationships with partners, coworkers and other stakeholders
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point and CRM management
  • Ability to work nights/weekends/holidays as needed
