The IT Security Intern is for college students seeking an internship in the Information Technology Security or Compliance field. The internship is available for the summer months (May 2026-August/September 2026). This internship position will assist members of the IT Security & Compliance team with the implementation and maintenance of information security programs and processes.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):
Assist with daily monitoring tasks of the HE&R computing environment. This may include items such as:
Email Quarantine Monitoring*
Security Event Monitoring*
Assist with the research and development of additional security controls*
Assist with the research, implementation or modification of information security programs*
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
18 years of age or older.
Applicant must be majoring or minoring in one of the various computer-related fields such as: Computer Science, Information Technology or Information Security.
Must be a Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Graduate student status. If graduates, applicants must have graduated within the past year.
