Internal Job Description
Job Summary:
The Facility Security Manager plays a support role to the Security Manager and the Director of Security and is responsible for the day to day activities of the 24 hour security operations at the Oracle Arena and Oakland - Alameda County Coliseum complex. The Facility Security Manager assists in the planning and coordination of all facility and event security; ensures delivery of quality services to all tenants; manages operations efficiently and effectively to achieve the overall safety and security of the facility; implements tenant satisfaction drivers. Coaches, trains, and develops security supervisors and officers. Responsible for the safety & security of AEG patrons, employees, and the assets.

Essential Functions:
• Assist the Security Manager and the Director of Security with overall coordination of Facility and Event Security Operations
• Assist in the day to day security operations, responsible for staffing and deployment of resources
• Train, lead and develop security supervisors and officers
• Assist in the development of department protocols and procedures; reviews and updates post orders as necessary
• Ensures the delivery of high quality customer service based security services to all tenants. Evaluate service quality and initiate corrective action as necessary
• Analyzes operational and financial indicators in order to operate within budget
• Recruits, selects, orients, trains, and develops high caliber staff in collaboration with the security management team; plans, assigns, and directs work; coaches employees to enhance skills; carries out disciplinary actions as necessary
• Maintains a positive, professional environment in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures; acts to ensure that staff members understand and comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures
• Ensures adequate inventory of uniforms, radios, etc.; maintains and submits payroll records and other required information
• Ensures scheduling is handled effectively to meet client requirements while controlling labor costs; reviews site reports to ensure post orders and client directions have been followed
• Performs additional functions, duties and specific tasks of a similar nature and scope as necessary in order to achieve assigned operational objectives

Required Qualifications:
• Prior law enforcement or Military preferred
• Supervisory experience required, in security field preferred
• Minimum of 5 years security experience in a sports/entertainment facility (i.e. sports arena, sports venue, concert venue, stadium) preferred
• High School diploma or G.E.D.; some college preferred
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, employment verification, and post-offer drug screening test
• Applicants must have a current California Guard Card, or Proprietary Security Officer (PSO) Card OR be willing and able to obtain one prior to employment
• An understanding of the rule of law & the relevant penal codes
• Ability to maintain good business relations with all the employees & managers in other departments
• Ability to effectively perform in crises and work under pressure without the loss of composure
• Ability to exhibit maturity by making sound judgment
• Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills
• Ability to participate in all departmental and company-wide meetings
• Ability to maintain patron, employee, and company confidentiality
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) is required
• Ability to work irregular hours for an extended period of time as dictated by events and schedule, this will include weekends and holidays

Work Conditions:
• Tasks are performed with minimal supervision
• Walking & standing occurs 90% of the time
• Talking, hearing, walking, running, & vision activities occur continuously
• Some tasks may require employees to come in contact with hazardous chemicals. Employee should use precautions & follow safety guidelines
• Work will be performed both indoors and outdoors, with possible exposure to inclement weather
