AEG/NR7s & Position Overview: AEG is the world’s largest live entertainment company and is committed to immediate and long term strategic planning and execution to deliver sustainable success for rugby.  AEG/NR7s and The Aspire Group have partnered to bring the College Rugby Sevens National Championships Tournament [National Collegiate Championships – Rugby Sevens (NCC-R7)] and Regional High School Tournament to Georgia.  The NCC-R7 Event will be two-day festival with concerts, food, drink, and the largest Collegiate and High School Rugby 7s tournament in the US broadcasted on NBC and NBC’s Peacock Network.  It is Gender-Equitable and a Diverse/Inclusive event comprising of:
  • 64 University Rugby Sevens teams 
    • 16 Women’s Division I teams and 16 Women’s Division II teams
    • 16 Men’s Division I teams and 16 Men’s Division II teams
    • 4 team HBCU Division for both Men and Women
  • 16 High School Rugby Sevens teams (mostly from the South East)
    • 8 Girls High School teams and 8 Boys High School teams
 
We are seeking a highly productive, teachable, positive and passionate individual who is committed to becoming a sports sales industry leader.  The associate should be committed to preserving a culture that encourages, supports, and celebrates the diverse voices of our employees.  
 
Sales Consultant will primarily be responsible selling two-day tournament passes, group ticket packages, and VIP Club packages for the National Collegiate Championships – Rugby Sevens (NCC-R7). The Consultant will also solicit prospective vendors for the Rugby Boulevard Street Festival and to exhibit at the Coaches Convention, and may assist with appointment setting for Partnership Sales opportunities.  Sales will be generated primarily from outbound phone calls, and in some cases face-to-face meetings or presentations will be made. Day-to-day leadership and mentoring of this position will be provided by the Aspire Leadership.  Consultants will receive the tools, programs, and systems necessary to "BE GREAT”.
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Be prepared to sell on behalf of AEG/NR7’s and The Aspire Group.
  • Perform outbound calls to: 
    • Sell two-day Ticket and VIP Club packages, and Group Tickets.  
    • Find qualified to be vendors and partners of the Street Festival at Rugby Lane and Trade Show Booth exhibitors for the Coaches Convention
  • Execute 80-100 outbound sales activities per day.
  • Provide superior customer service to National Collegiate Championships customers.
  • Assist Partnership Sales for the Championships with appointment setting as needed.
  • Meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales goals while exceeding client expectations in value and customer service.
  • Manage pipeline of prospects, implementing strategies to maximize sales including text and email.
  • Service inbound ticket sales phone line and web forms to answer general fan questions and sell ticket packages as requested.
  • Maintain computerized records of all prospects and customers within the database.
  • Flexible work schedule. 
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by Director.
 
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Desire to grow a career in the sports and entertainment industry.
  • Computer proficient (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Previous customer service or retail experience a plus; display a genuine desire to help.
  • Previous sales experience is helpful, but not required.
  • Previous experience with Rugby is a plus 
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and listening skills with a high attention to detail. 
  • Professional approach that results in a level of trust and respect with internal stakeholders.
  • Team-first attitude that ensures AEG/NR7’s goals are achieved. 
  • Ability to encourage collaboration, flexibility, equity and inclusion that enables colleagues to contribute to their full potential, feel valued, and supported.
  • Ability to work well with others and comfortable taking initiative.
  • Availability to work variable hours, as needed or requested by the AEG/NR7’s.
  • Willingness to relocate for potential growth opportunities in the future.
 
Compensation: Competitive base salary with the opportunity to earn commission upon meeting or exceeding sales goals. Competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, other voluntary health benefits and 401k.
