Sun Devil Athletics seeks an Accountant Senior who plans, organizes and directs all financial and internal business operations of the Sun Devil Club, including but not limited to ensuring goals and objectives are met to comply with 501(c)(3) tax regulations, University policies and NCAA compliance. Adheres to NCAA and Conference rules and regulations, as well as the policies and procedures of the department, the University and the Arizona Board of Regents.

Essential Duties
- Plans, organizes and supports all financial and internal business operations of the Sun Devil Club (SDC).
- Serves as primary SDC financial contact with Sun Devil Athletics, SDC management and board, ASU Financial Services, ASU Foundation/ASU Enterprise Partners, and the external audit firm for annual audit and tax services.
- Manages the annual SDC audit, including but not limited to, financial statement presentation, pledge schedule reconciliation and financial controls narrative.
- Works with SDC staff on questions related to pledges and their recognition on SDC financials.
- Prepares and directs all annual legal and compliance filings including corporation commission and insurance renewals.
- Responsible for monthly and year-end entries and transfers.
- Monitors bank accounts and bank compliance reviews.
- Manages and updates chart of accounts.
- Processes and manages SDC and/or SDA accounts payable and receivable.
- May prepare and/or assist in preparation, reporting and analysis of operational budgets in various SDA budget areas.
- Provides specialized or general calculations and analysis support in various accounting functions; prepares specialized or highly complex reports, statements, analysis and interpretation utilizing advanced knowledge and proficiency in accounting practices and principles.
- Prepares reports and assists in analyzing various revenue and expense budgets.
- Prepares or reviews detailed journal entries, maintains complex ledgers and reconciles and analyzes reports.
- Coordinates and participates in internal and external audits and preparation of work papers.
- Prepares and assists in analysis and interpretation of financial data for budgets, capital projects, endowments and special events.
- Represents department at meetings and/or conferences at all levels of University organization.
- Makes recommendations regarding changes to rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Manages travel requests and expense report reconciliations for various departments.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field AND two (2) years of professional accounting experience; OR, six (6) years professional accounting experience; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Working Environment
- Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse
