This position will serve as a senior staff member of the Air Force Academy Athletic Corporation (AFAAC) and Department of Athletics and will oversee all external operations for the department. External units include Development, Marketing, Digital Media/Creative, Ticket Operations, and Learfield Amplify Ticketing divisions.

Responsible for developing and leading the staff in implementing a comprehensive strategic plan for external partnerships and initiatives, a strategic branding and advertising plan for AFAAC, and a strategic plan for maximizing new and existing revenue streams.
Will provide senior executive oversight of marketing, promotions, ticketing, fundraising, special events, departmental communications platforms and programs, as well as all aspects of traditional advertising and publicity, digital media, and social media initiatives.
Will act as the day-to-day lead for the Paciolan ecosystem, Learfield Amplify, and the partnership with the Air Force Academy Foundation.
Responsible for the overall budget of all external units (Marketing, Development, and Ticketing). Required to provide annual reporting updates to the AFAAC Board of Directors and other key stakeholders as necessary.
Reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer of AFAAC and interacts regularly with the Director of Athletics. This position may be required to perform other relevant duties/ special projects to benefit the department as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree is required, Master’s degree is preferred.
Seven or more years of related professional experience in a Division I collegiate athletics environment or other related sports field with a demonstrated record of leadership, managerial and revenue generating success.
Previous staff management, budget oversight, relationship cultivation and excellent customer service skills are a must.
Candidate must also have strong organizational, leadership, verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills and will adhere to the highest levels of integrity and service befitting the expectations of the United States Air Force Academy.
Emphasis will be placed on candidates’ ability to collaborate across campus and develop the necessary relationships both internally and externally to achieve strategic success.
High computer literacy with strong skills and knowledge of data-driven decision-making and social media strategy is preferred.
The scope of the job requires evening and weekend hours.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and successfully pass a background investigation. Random drug testing is required for employment with AFAAC.
