Sponsorship Sales & Activation: Corporate Sponsorship Sales

We have an immediate opportunity for a qualified and innovative Partnership Development Manager. We are looking for a candidate with a deep commitment to customer satisfaction to facilitate the execution and implementation of partner contractual assets. The successful candidate will have the ability to thrive in a high pressure, fast-paced, competitive environment, and will foster a positive attitude while being an integral team member.

This is a full-time position and is based in Oakland, CA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as main point of contact for assigned corporate partners and their partnership activation elements
  • Fulfill sponsorship corporate partnership agreements by working closely with other departments to ensure a high level of execution, customer service and fulfillment of all corporate partner deliverables
  • Effectively build and sustain strong corporate partner and corporate partner agency relationships
  • Responsible for driving renewal revenue by leveraging organizational resources and sales strategies
  • Develop and implement new and creative marketing/activation strategies, methodologies and tactics based on corporate partner needs, research, data, success rates, and market trends to meet corporate partners goals and objectives and ensure 100% customer satisfaction
  • Identify, present and sell new activation opportunities to assigned corporate partner accounts
  • Evaluate current partner activation plan and provide recommendations on how to better develop the partnership
  • Oversee assigned departmental projects which could include: league financial reporting, LED and signage tracking, radio/broadcast management, etc.
  • Effectively manage corporate partnership accounts and partnership details via CRM system
  • Identify upsell opportunities for assigned corporate partner accounts
  • Create and present execution recaps and selling presentations
  • Plan and execute events, promotions and VIP experiences
  • Attend all home games and special events
  • Ensure promotional activations are delivered within budget parameters

Required Experience & Skills

The successful candidate in this position must be an innovative and resilient professional with determination, fortitude, commitment and the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of corporate sponsorship and/or account management experience; sports sponsorship preferred
  • 1+ years of sales experience
  • Special consideration for eSports industry experience
  • Strong leadership, teamwork and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Basic understanding of social media marketing and the digital space
  • Ability to be proactive and flexible in the face of change and last minute requirements
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule – evenings and weekends may be required
  • Knowledge of all the Microsoft Office applications
