Facility Operations/Event Staff: Event Guest Relations

The Parking Services Manager is responsible for overseeing all parking operations and Parking Services staff for Vivint Arena and Smith’s Ballpark with minimal supervision. This position enhances the customer experience by providing exceptional customer service and enthusiastically communicates with members of the public and serves as an informational resource for visitors and customers. This Manager will have a full time staff of one and up to twenty part time staff reporting to them.

● Supervise all full-time and part-time parking staff
● Track expenses, revenue, and oversee the parking department budget
● Coordinate with other departments (Jazz, Events, etc.) to determine parking needs and find
creative ways to meet those needs
● Source parking options and bids from other vendors in the area
● Manage relationships with third party vendors for billing, traffic control, etc.
● Manage all aspects of digital and monthly parking for Vivint Arena and Smith’s Ballpark events
● Responsible for all permitting of city streets for all events at Vivint Arena and Smith’s Ballpark
● Contract signage and traffic management equipment around the arena
● Oversee ABI scheduling software and Point of Sale software for the department
● Monitor parking lots for safety and security of guests, employees, and vehicles
● Complete post event reports regarding traffic and parking operations
● Utilize industry best practices in the parking and traffic program
● Troubleshoot issues and make recommendations for process improvements
● Handle customer complaints and operational issues
● Document and submit incident reports using the organization’s ISS 24/7 software
● Interact in a tactful and friendly manner to patrons and other employees
● Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

● High School Diploma or equivalent experience
● Experience using Excel Spreadsheets and Microsoft Word or Google Drive equivalent
● Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in the parking industry (preferred)
● Experience with ABI Mastermind scheduling software (preferred)
● Minimum of 1-2 years cashiering experience
● Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness
● React well to pressure and make decisions quickly to protect the safety of others
● Demonstrate organizational, coordination, and personal interface skills
● Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Proven job reliability, diligence, and dedication
● Be customer-service oriented, have a fan-friendly attitude, and a professional appearance

● Position requires the ability to regularly stand or walk for extended periods of time
● Position requires the ability to see, reach, talk, hear, and feel
● Position requires the ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
● Position requires working in outdoor conditions
● Position requires working near moving vehicles
