Manager, Game Entertainment – Stockton Kings
Regular – Full Time, Non-Exempt

Reporting to the Stockton Kings VP of Business Operations, the Manager of Game Entertainment will lead the planning and execution of all in-game entertainment and activations, including management of game-day interns and entertainment team, as well as maintaining consistent communication with the Stockton arena and Stockton Kings team members. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and complete a diverse workload.  

Game Entertainment
  • Planning and preparation of all game operations activities both on and off the court
  • Manage and schedule promotions at select Stockton Kings games
  • Manage set up and tear down of 24 Stockton Kings home games
  • Manage game script development and execution of all game entertainment
  • Collaborate in creating and implementing all sponsor promotions while identifying execution needs
  • Develop ideas for in-game video content and work with video content team to produce on Media Day
  • Understand and communicate other creative needs for in-game content with Marketing Coordinator
  • Assist in the planning and execution of all game-day partnerships
  • Collaborate with all Stockton staff for all pre-game, in-game, and/or post-game events
  • Coordinate with Stockton Kings Sales staff regarding Fan Experience Packages
  • Act as primary liaison between the Stockton Kings and the Stockton Arena
  • Work closely with Sacramento Kings entertainment team to schedule Kings performers and identify new promotional ideas
  • Attend weekly meetings held by Arena Staff
  • Create and execute on communication plan with arena Control Room staff to ensure they are prepared for games
  • Other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Oversee Stockton Kings interns on game days as they perform Stage Manager/game day duties
  • Supervise all game day entertainment staff, approximately 15 – 20 team members
  • Communicate promotional themes to entertainers such as emcees, DJ, etc. in order for them to prepare to add and contribute to the theme
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year, accredited university – Sports Management or related field
  • 1 – 3 years of experience in Entertainment and/or Gameday Operations
Skills & Abilities Required:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of promotional concepts and strategic activation
  • Demonstrated customer service and client management
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, analytical and project management skills
  • Engaging personality with exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively 
  • Must have superb attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and spoken communication
  • Prior experience and knowledge of game presentation and production
  • Availability and willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays
Skills & Abilities Preferred:
  • Clear enthusiasm and interest in the sports and entertainment industry
  • Strong understanding of basketball rules and timing format is preferred
