Director, Operations 

Responsibilities: 
  • Oversee Overtime Elite core functions including player scheduling, on-court operations, affiliate team management, travel, compliance and overall league management
  • Lead, mentor and guide a team to execute day to day operational tasks pertaining to OTE; be the pain point of escalation for your team
  • Work directly with VP, Operations to streamline processes and support the broader Arena strategy and create operational excellence
  • Collaborate regularly with OTE stakeholders including basketball, player development, player services, league housing, marketing, brand, academics, finance, legal and others. 
  • Oversee annual OTE calendar and collaborate across Overtime to ensure there are no overlaps; oversight includes non-League events like OTE Combine, 3x3 Spring Development league, and others
  • Oversee compliance and league administration responsibilities, including OTE eligibility and NCAA eligibility
  • Create project timelines, budgets and decision trackers to maintain deadlines throughout project lifecycle and report status updates
  • Manage stakeholder expectations with clear communication and project management technique
  • Build relationships with teammates and understand the organization; lead by bringing the team together and moving in one direction; aligning their personal goals with those of the organization

Skillset: 
  • People manager who finds passion in motivating, developing and leading a department 
  • Understanding of NCAA compliance and eligibility landscape 
  • Familiar with the league or sports operations landscape 
  • Prioritizes stakeholder trust and collaboration 
  • Project management experience, Agile methodology preferred 
  • Handles conflicts and encourages communication on cross-functional projects 
  • A self-starter, always looking for people and projects that could use a helping hand
  • Attention-to-detail is critical
