As Data Science & Solutions Frontend Engineer / Insight & Foresight, your work is important to uncovering valuable insights that will help build strategies for the organization’s future. 
 
As a member of the team, you will collaborate with engineers and analysts to deliver robust solutions that drive decision making and improve workflows across basketball operations. Your work will put information at the fingertips of decision makers including those in player evaluation, player development, and coaching.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design, develop, and maintain applications used regularly through basketball operations departments
  • Research opportunities to introduce new technology to enhance internal software infrastructure
  • Carry out other administrative tasks consistent with the policies and procedures of the NBA and OKC Thunder
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in computer science or equivalent work or military experience
  • 2+ years of experience in related field
  • Experience with HTML, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience with a modern client-side web development framework (Angular, React, Vue)
  • Experience using UI/UX design
  • Respect for confidentiality and success working with secure data
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deliver clear and effective messages to a variety of partners 
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with data visualization using D3.js
  • Experience with a state management library (NgRx, Redux)
  • Experience building RESTful APIs using a modern programming language (Python, JavaScript)
  • Experience with database design and administration (SQL)
  • Experience with AWS technologies such as S3, RDS, and EC2
 
This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Director of Data Science & Solutions / Insight & Foresight. The responsibilities of this position are best served working on-site in Oklahoma City. However, we remain open-minded to the possibility of remote work arrangements based on certain circumstances.
