The New York Liberty are seeking a seasoned professional with energy, passion, and ambitious spirit. As Director of Partnership Development, you are responsible for generating and developing sales revenue for our sponsorship program. 

You will be the key driver of partnership initiatives within this core sector of our business. You should possess proven partnership prospecting, pitching, and activation experience with a consistent record of successfully exceeding targets and service levels. In This Role, You Will:
  • Develop and sell sponsorship programs as part of ongoing new and renewal initiatives. This effort consists of go-to-market strategy, relationship management, partnership sales meetings and presentations on a regular basis, negotiate and prepare contract terms of partnerships with input from finance and legal team members.
  • Collaborate with all other departments to build alignment and ensure seamless execution of partnership programs and integrated campaigns.
  • Provide weekly reporting and communication of various sales related metrics including pipeline generation, account status, revenue and quota attainment status, and meaningful sponsor interaction
  • Achieve and exceed department goals inclusive of: renewal revenue, upsell revenue, standard methodology execution, client touchpoints and service levels, and additional objectives as assigned

You Are:
  • A progressive sponsorship professional with a minimum of five years experience in the sponsorship arena
  • Consistently overachieving sales targets and quotas in competitive and dynamic sales environments
  • Experienced in developing sales and marketing plans, promotion campaigns/programs, presentations and proposals
  • A strong listener who is able to collaborate, influence and nurture relationships within a variety of business environments including sports media, corporate, non-profit, education, government and community.
  • Analytical with an eye for business; also possess strong operational and communication skills
  • Passionate about attending Liberty sponsored events including all home games and special outings 

Educational Background:
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a focus on business management, sports management, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
