Reporting To: Manager, Marketing and Creative Services 
Hours: 20 hours/week (Seasonal)
Salary: Non paid – College Credit offered

This internship program is an opportunity for students to build their work experience and learn the behind-the-scenes operations of a WNBA team. As the Photo Intern you will participate in a series of events and activities exposing you to all departments as well as the many facets of working for a professional sports team. You will assist with the implementation and execution of the Sparks overall marketing plan and promotional events.

Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Prioritize and log photos in media library
  • Balance photography requests from departments and other vendors
  • You will work with our Marketing staff to edit photos for social media
  • Provide photography support capturing various events across all departments
  • Create GIFs from photos and assist in building GIF library
  • Build photo galleries from games and events to upload to website
  • Work closely with marketing department to ensure quality, consistency, and creative flow of overall goals

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
  • Working to achieve Bachelor or Master’s degree in Journalism, Graphic Design, Photography, Film, Sports Management or related fields
  • Experienced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop
  • Knowledge of photo editing techniques
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate in a team environment
  • Strong knowledge of social media
  • Basketball knowledge and passion is helpful but not required
  • Quick learner who is able to adapt and excel in various environments
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter, ambitious, positive, reliable and high-energy
  • Able to demonstrate flexibility and quickly adapt to changes while maintaining high levels of efficiency and effectiveness
  • Must have own DSLR camera
  • Some use of personal vehicle
  • Includes nights and weekend hours
