Facility Operations/Event Staff: Facility/Venue Management
General Description:
To assist the Facility Services department, which is responsible for the Conversions and Daily Operation aspects of the Toyota Center. 
RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
  • Set up and break down of event related equipment.  
  • Use of event maps to ensure all events and set-ups are accurate.
  • Liaise with Event Coordinators to ensure accurate and timely setups are completed for Facility Events.
  • Be available to change schedule to work on day, evening or night shifts; including overtime.
  • Inspect and repair retractable seating sections and event related equipment.
  • Perform and follow all preventative maintenance schedules, emergency plans, and safety/risk policies that conform to Toyota Center standards.
  • Assist in daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly project work.  
  • Ensure all tasks are completed according to Toyota Center’s exemplary standards.
  • Complete regular building inspections to ensure it remains in a presentable and safe state for clients and guests.
  • Clearly communicate with staff (Full and Part-time) to assure a high morale and positive work environment.
  • Attend yearly work-related training sessions.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers, especially Supervisors/Managers.
  • Develop and implement efficiencies and improvements on an ongoing basis for the Facility Services department.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

  • 1 year of arena or event related experience preferred but not required.
  • Willing to learn modern building changeover practices and event related equipment.
  • Ability to work long and varied hours including nights and weekends.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Must be very organized, flexible, personable, and able to take direction. 
  • The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use handle or feel, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, communicate with others.
  • The vision requirement includes the ability to review written and electronic materials in both digital and physical format.  
  • The employee must be able to transfer and move items for departmental needs.
  • The employee must be able to adjust to changing work hours and locations as needed in light of the strong focus on external communications and relationships.
