Ticket Operations: Ticket Operations
  
General Description:
Primary contact and manager of the complete ticket process for all 3rd party events held at the Toyota Center.  This includes, but is not limited to, scaling, show build, offer creation, monitoring and maintaining events, working closely with promoters and day of event responsibilities.  Oversee all 3rd party ticket sales to ensure accurate input into the ticketing system and distribution. Communicate pricing, procedures and processing instructions to ticket office staff to ensure accurate messaging to public and related departments. Manage the box office sales, customer service, and will call windows in accordance with Houston Rockets/Clutch City Sports & Entertainment customer service policies.
 
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain the seating manifest for all 3rd party / concerts that occur at Toyota Center
  • Manage communication with event promoters, event staff and building management. This includes show builds and scaling of house for shows.
  • Manage and obtain all in house orders from promoters. 
  • Build shows, premium club events, co-op suite events, VIP reception events and parking events for 3rd party events
  • Manage preparation of events for public on-sale.
  • Manage and coordinate information between ticket request system and our sales & service team.
  • Interact closely and maintain strong working relationship with ticket service provider.
  • Interact closely and maintain strong working relationship with concert promoters.
  • Contribute positively to the sales team atmosphere by developing mutually beneficial working relationships with all sales team members.
  • Work closely with the Event Services Department to convey show details and event adjustments
  • Work closely with Marketing Department and Social Media team to communicate event information, offers, and event updates
  • Assist at games and other special events with promotional functions as required.
  • Maintain accurate and timely sales reports.
  • Participate and contribute to weekly sales team meetings and training sessions.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities for assigned staff in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include: training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing issues and solving problems and regularly communicating with staff

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university
  • Minimum 5 yrs. experience working in a Ticket Office for a facility with multiple events, including 3 yrs. of management.
  • Experience working 3rd party events and communicating on a regular basis with concert promoters.
  • Proficient with Axs Ticketing (or a similar ticketing platform) and Microsoft products.
  • Strong ability to adapt to changes, work effectively under pressure and produce accurate results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, extensive customer service skills.
  • Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
 
PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use handle or feel, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, communicate with others.
  • The vision requirement includes the ability to review written and electronic materials in both digital and physical format.  
  • The employee must be able to transfer and move items for departmental needs.
The employee must be able to adjust to changing work hours and locations as needed in light of the strong focus on external communications and relationships.
