The WNBA Chicago Sky is seeking excited, outgoing, and dedicated candidates that will interact with the general public while being an integral part of ongoing community relations and operations efforts. Our Ambassadors will gain hands-on experience working for a professional womens basketball team.


Note: While this position gives you invaluable experience in the sports industry, it is an unpaid position. Academic credit is available upon request.

Sky Cares will conduct 50/50 raffles benefiting a foundation in Chicagoland area at Chicago Sky Basketball home games and other select athletic events. Half of the net proceeds from each event's raffle ticket sales will go to one lucky fan and the remainder will support the foundation.

Tickets will be sold by Sky Cares 50/50 Raffle Ambassors by mobile sellers and QR codes located throughout the arena.

Sky Cares is seeking highly motivated, task-oriented individuals to fill game day 50/50 Raffle Ambassador positions. These individuals will work with the Community Engagement Manager to enhance the game day experience. The position requires evening and weekend hours per the Chicago Sky home schedule.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

§ Approaching fans pregame and in-game to explain the details of the 50/50 Raffle program and offer the opportunity to purchase tickets

§ Answer fan questions regarding the raffle program, as well as basic Sky Cares Foundation information

§ Accurately facilitate the sale and distribution of raffle tickets, following program requirements

§ Turn in all cash, tickets, aprons and equipment at the end of the game and/or event

§ Accurately handle the reconciliation of tickets sold and financials

§ Understand the mission of the Sky Cares Foundation

§ 50/50 Rafffle Ambassor with top sales for the day will receive $100 cash

§ Parking reimbursed for 50/50 Raffle Ambassors who attend all the home games


REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

§ Must be 18 years of age or older

§ Must be willing/eligible to work all Chicago Sky Home games

§ Able to walk or stand for long periods of time and climb stairs

§ Enthusiastic, approachable and self-motivated

§ Strong verbal communication skills

§ High school diploma or equivalent education, some college preferred

§ Must be able to take and follow directions well

§ Detail oriented and strong organization skills

§ Above average communication skills

§ Highly self-motivated and outgoing

§ Must have reliable transportation

§ Prior customer service or sales experience is a plus

Please be sure you are able to arrive two hours prior to tipoff. We understand that things come up, but knowing in advance days you are not available will help with planning. The time listed below is tipoff. You will need to arrive 90 minutes prior to tipoff when doors open.
