Overview of the Job: The Miami HEAT Social Responsibility department is responsible for creating, planning, and fulfilling the organization's charitable vision and endeavors in the community. As such, the Social Responsibility department is hiring a full-time coordinator that would be responsible for the the following:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following are examples of the various functions required. The job requirements are not limited to the items on this list. 
  • Add to the HEAT Group’s visibility in the community through the creation and/or oversight of lasting and effective community goodwill activities and programs.
  • Create, manage and oversee all logistical aspects involved with planning, implementing, and executing department events and/or programming.
  • Maintain and improve where necessary on processes developed that account for HEAT Academy students and metrics.
  • Manage our Community Assist STH Donation Program.
  • Manage all game day functions (including, but not limited to – Honorary Ball Kid, Ticket Player Programs, Make-A- Wish Meet & Greets).
  • Develop, track and manage distribution of player memorabilia and facilitate the interface with recipient.
  • Facilitate silent auction at annual HEAT Family Festival.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop strategies to monetize new and established programming.
  • Maintain and grow our relationship with Corporate Sales/Service and communicate directly when necessary with program sponsors so they feel valued and we can exceed their expectations.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop impactful storytelling opportunities that can lead to stimulating content.
  • Work with HEAT Group Enterprises and AA artists on community outreach collaborations that make sense to both parties involved. These opportunities set us apart from others in the industry, help personalize the transaction with the artist and improve our future business prospects and relationship with the artist and promoters.
  • Work closely within SR, across other departments and with community partners to develop and establish new and exciting opportunities in the areas of women’s history, e-sports, mental health and inclusion.

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or equivalent.  
  • Proven experience in project management, teamwork, and event planning.
