An experienced Full-Stack Developer who will assist with maintenance, improvement, and creation of information systems used by the Basketball Operations department. As Developer, you will be responsible for developing web and app-based tools as well as help improve and enhance the existing backend. You will collaborate with the Front Office, Coaches, Scouts, Sports Science, and other members of the Basketball Operations staff.
To be highly considered for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree or higher in a computer programming field; strong proficiency with building web based user-friendly tools, working with Rest APIs, as well as data warehousing; and experience with data engineering, ETL processes, data visualizations, cloud-computing platforms, and database architecture.
This is a full-time, in-house position based out of our Playa Vista offices.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design, maintain, and implement basketball data infrastructure, information systems, and other software applications
  • Build user-friendly tools for use by Basketball Operations
  • Design and develop interactive tools including data visualizations
  • Implement best practice features for the organization’s software application
  • Work closely with Basketball Operations to design and build new reporting services
  • Process and maintain data feeds from various sources via Rest API and XML/JSON loads (NBA, NCAA, G-League, etc.)
  • Maintain, support, and improve current infrastructure and back-end
  • Support Basketball Operations in other tasks as required

Qualification Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a computer programming field (Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, etc)
  • Experience with Git or other subversion control
  • Experience with varied programming and scripting languages (Python, R…)
  • Experience with front-end application development
  • Knowledge of basketball data and basketball statistics
  • Experience working with high availability database systems
  • Experience with cloud-hosted servers (e.g. Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services)
