General Description:
This position has responsibility for the proper functioning of the arena audio and video distributions as well as game scoring equipment. This position is a full-time position.  The hours are generally from 9:00am to 5:30pm Monday through Friday but will change based on the building’s schedule.  Weekends and nights will often be necessary.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
  • Perform daily operations of the audiovisual systems (audio, RF distribution, IPTV and intercom).
  • Set and strike audio and scoring equipment at the scorer’s table for games and practices.
  • Set, operate and strike all aspects of the audiovisual systems for Toyota Center events.
  • Maintain, upgrade, troubleshoot and repair components of the audiovisual systems.
  • Set, operate and strike small PA systems and press conference audio.
  • Route audio and video signals to various areas of the arena.
  • Prepare and load graphics and video for 3rd party events.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs with team members and respond to work orders as necessary.
  • Provide departmental support for day-to-day audiovisual needs of the arena. Must set projectors and screens and audio to local areas in the building.
  • Organize and maintain all equipment in designated storage and work areas.
  • Perform periodic and accurate systems checks.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School graduate
  • Must have experience in live audio or sports venue setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills proven through demonstrated ability to interact well with people and help others.
  • Technical aptitude and basic knowledge of AV equipment, terminology and software.
  • Must demonstrate possess the ability to troubleshoot issues independently.
  • Portrays a professional image to meet company dress code requirements.
  • Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule to include nights and weekends.
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • College Degree
  • Photo and video editing skills (Photoshop, After Effects, etc.)
  • Experience with Content Management Systems (Ross Expression, Daktronics Show Control, ANC Livesync, etc)
  • AV networking operation and management (Dante)
 
PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use handle or feel, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk and hear.
  • The vision requirement includes close vision and ability to adjust focus. 
  • Nature of position requires physical mobility and the ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
  • Must have ability to adjust to changing work hours and locations as needed. 
  • Must be able to work from catwalk for short periods of time (no aversion to heights)
