The Part-Time Graphic Designer will work closely with the Cavaliers Graphics (CGX) team and retail team, and be involved in the day-to-day retail design and brand management of all organizational properties. Project work includes the development of Item of the Game promotional advertising, environmental signage, online advertisements and ecommerce graphics, game program ad publications; logo development for seasonal campaigns, and ticket holder and promotional events; packaging for cash and wrap areas and drop shipments; design for digital projects such as concession menu boards and outdoor billboards; photo editing; and other additional retail projects as determined throughout the year.

The ideal candidate will contribute to the creative process; gain valuable experience working in a fast-paced design environment; and, provide creative and innovative solutions to a retail team who is obsessed with creating the most dynamic, innovative, and groundbreaking retail experience in professional sports.

Passionate about creating the most vibrant, advanced and leading-edge content, CGX drives branding while playing a pivotal role in marketing campaigns, corporate partnership activation, ticket and retail sales efforts, and fan engagement initiatives for franchise properties and Quicken Loans Arena.

This role works in support of all franchise properties, including the Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Monsters, Cleveland Gladiators, Canton Charge, and Quicken Loans Arena.


  •  Work 20-25 hours per week on a flexible schedule
  •   Maintaining the brand for the Cleveland Cavaliers and all other organizational propertie
  • A strong familiarity with current trends, color and design technique
  • Possess general knowledge of concepts, techniques and design for retail merchandise desig
  • Willingness and ability to see projects through to completion in order to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  •  Excellent written and oral communication skills; excellent proofreading skills for product overviews and description
  •  Demonstrate ability to work as a team player and take direction from retail and CGX team
  • Good interviewing, listening and visualization skill
  • Ample knowledge of the creative process
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across a variety of brands at once with revolving timelines.
  • A strong interest in designing for retail and marketing within a sports environment. 
  • Working knowledge of photography and lighting for product shoots. (Preferred, but not required)
