JOB OVERVIEW
 
The Cavaliers Operating Company, LLC is seeking a talented Data Steward who will play a significant role with the organization’s Data Operations team. As a key member of the Data Operations team, the Data Steward will work closely with Corporate Partnerships & multiple other departments on the implementation, management, and optimization of various business processes and data driven projects.
 
RESPONSIBILTIES

Primary focus will include leading and managing an integrated data strategy in collaboration with Data Operations and Business Intelligence:
  • Improve and refine current Corporate Partnerships processes through documentation, data accuracy, and a data-driven approach to day-to-day business.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Partnership leadership on on-going projects pertaining but not limited to: CRM customizations and updates, NBA league reporting initiatives, utilizing 3rd party platforms etc.
  • Work with the legal and finance departments to manage and maintain data integrity pertaining to the financial information of the Corporate Partnership Business.
  • Lead the management of auditing all deal contract information and a robust inventory management platform for all partnership assets.
  • Present new and creative business ideas using data backed decisions.
  • Develop techniques to identify, extract and analyze data to support business decisions.
  • Propose and effectively disseminate cutting edge ideas, process improvements and best practice research to advance the organization’s analytical capabilities.
  • Endeavor to contribute positively to the culture of the organization.
  • Advocate for the use of data in helping to drive business decisions.
 
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative, business, or operations field. (i.e., Math, Statistics, Engineering, Economics or Computer Science)
  • Ability to create, implement, and manage business processes.
  • Knowledge and experience using Business Intelligence and reporting software, Tableau preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience using CRM software, preferably Salesforce.
  • Knowledge and experience of SQL.
  • Knowledge and experience with KORE Software Sponsorship Module is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work and communicate with both technical and business minded professionals
  • Comfortable challenging the status quo and proposing data driven solutions
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed, demonstrate initiative, and translate curiosity into action.
