Sponsorship Sales & Activation: Corporate Sponsorship Sales
Position Overview:
The Chicago Bulls Corporate Partnerships department is seeking a Sales Coordinator to support the new business processes for the organization. We are currently searching for a highly-engaged, collaborative individual with initiative who will play an active role in the research, pitch preparation and development of integrated corporate partnerships. Those partnerships include but are not limited to, signage, promotions, digital advertising, community programming, print advertising, IP rights, and corporate hospitality. 

The principle function of this position is to research industry trends and develop category summaries & strategy to ensure the Corporate Partnership sales team engages early and often with all potential emerging categories. This is an excellent opportunity for a developing sales professional to contribute and positively impact our partners’ strategic goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
In this role, you will support the team’s business development efforts, with a particular emphasis on developing the pipeline of prospects and needs analyses for the team. Additional responsibilities include:
  • Support the development of executive summaries that identify partner needs, objectives & goals and include any relevant information supporting an effective sales process.
  • Develop category summaries and competitive landscape maps to help inform category strategy for the sales team.
  • Consistently scan the advertising and sponsorship landscape to capture information from all available sources to qualify new opportunities.
  • Utilize trade periodicals, lead generation and reporting services to identify emerging new business opportunities.
  • Participate in internal meetings to present needs analysis with sales team to the Bulls agency team.
  • Customize partnership decks and sales materials based on updated brand research.
  • Participate in sales meetings, training programs, and conferences as directed by department leadership.
  • Collect and track accurate prospect information, as well as other details into CRM.
  • Potential to build customer relationships through strategic conversations to understand organizational business objectives and goals.
  • Entertain clients and prospects at Bulls home games and additional special events.
  • Assist in the execution of various organizational functions.
  • Involved in the servicing of Bulls and United Center clients all year long during regular office hours, at games and at various Bulls functions.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with senior executives employed by current and future Bulls corporate partners, and also with senior level executives within the organization.

Education / Experience:
We are seeking a results driven, passionate, detailed oriented and dependable individual with a deep understanding of strategic account management and sponsorship. In addition, you may be a potential fit for this role if you have a mix of the following: 
  • Minimum four-year college degree with a preferred one-year minimum of sponsorship experience
  • Proven prospector with a track record of securing initial meetings and phone calls
  • Preferred fluency in brand marketing and integrated partnerships
  • Desire to work as a collaborative, self-starter
  • Strong interpersonal skills and flexibility to work within a dynamic environment
  • Ability to communicate articulately and confidently both verbally and in writing with individuals at every level of the organization 
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work nights/weekends/holidays as needed
