Position Overview
This is a non-paid internship and requires the individual to receive academic credit. This intern will need to attend Greensboro Swarm events and need to be in the office 20-40 hours a week. This is an unpaid position.

The Summer 2018 program will be May 23-August 10.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Research, prospect and establish leads for potential clients
  • Assist with creation and presentation of sponsorship proposals
  • Set meetings with potential clients
  • Coordinate with all departments to ensure sponsorship fulfillment
  • Assist in preparing weekly sales reports
  • Work special events to entertain existing partners and prospects
  • Miscellaneous tasks assigned by supervisor

  • Excellent computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven organizational and time management skills
  • Research and analysis skills and experience
  • Marketing/sales experience preferred
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple assignments
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work well with other departments
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work long and irregular hours
  • Possess a strong ability to manage one’s own time and prioritize tasks when given clearly defined goals and objectives
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and use discretion when privy to sensitive information
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to manage their own individual projects
  • Be a flexible and reliable team player, both within own department and the company as a whole

Education and/or Experience
  • Intern must receive college credit
  • Junior, Senior or Graduate level student preferred
