This position, reporting to the Vice President, Business Strategy, is responsible for managing a number of strategic initiatives related to (but not limited to) the loyalty program, corporate partnerships, ticketing optimization, concessions technology, and other innovations in sports business. This position will require knowledge and ability to analyze data from myriad sources and produce insights for a wide range of audience. This position will ensure successful implementation of key initiatives, which will require project management, communication with corporate partners, and collaboration with other Nationals departments. Strong written and oral communications skills will be required in producing documents to be presented to external stakeholders as well as senior Nationals executives.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Nationals’ new loyalty platform, leveraging existing and new corporate partnerships
  • Work with ticketing and technology vendors to ensure successful integration among relevant systems (loyalty, ticketing, marketplace, etc.)
  • Develop key strategies to increase engagement in the loyalty platform
  • Collaborate with corporate partnerships sales leaders to engage with corporate prospects to form strategic partnerships to enhance the loyalty program as well as drive revenue from new and existing sponsorships
  • Assist in the development of compelling corporate partnership presentations, supported by data-driven analyses, that highlight the Nationals’ value contribution to the potential partner’s objectives
  • Work closely with the Director, Revenue Strategy & Analytics and Director, Ticket Strategy & Marketing Analytics in ticketing optimization analyses
  • Explore relevant innovations in sports business that can enhance the Nationals’ operations, including concessions technology, mobile applications, and workflow optimization
  • Uphold the Nationals' values of Excellence, Performance and Accountability
  • Other duties as assigned    

 

Requirements: Minimum Education and Experience Requirements 

  • Undergraduate degree in related field. MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience
  • Management consulting experience preferred
  • Experience  managing complex projects involving various stakeholders, including outside vendors and internal staff
  • Experience developing presentations and presenting preferred   

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities necessary to perform essential functions 

  • Ability to understand key business implications from extensive data in a data warehouse
  • Knowledge of P&L structures and levers to optimize revenues and costs, especially in dynamic consumer markets
  • Ability to extract key insights from large, unstructured datasets and synthesize into key recommendations for leadership
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required
  • Proficiency in Tableau and/or similar data visualization tool preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to tailor key messages to the appropriate audience
  • Strong attention to detail required
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability - a self-starter
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Utmost standards of integrity in all business dealings
  • Position will require some weekend and/or evening work
