Facility Operations/Event Staff: Custodial/Housekeeping
Job Overview:
Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Facilities, the Facilities Supervisor is a full-time benefited position based out of the Player Development Complex (PDC) in Dunedin, Florida. The primary function of this position is the day to day oversight of the cleanliness of the PDC, both inside the building as well as the exterior spaces.  This individual oversees all cleaning contracts and day porters, creates cleaning routines and standards, and provides support for the dining rooms, kitchen contracts and nutrition areas.  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and implement best-in-class operational standards and procedures as it relates to the cleanliness and sanitation protocols for the PDC 
  • Play a key role in directing and supporting activities to prevent the spread of infection in the facility
  • Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure that services are provided in an efficient and timely manner
  • Maintain required records of work hours, budgets, payrolls, and other key operational information
  • Prepare reports on activity, personnel, and information such as occupancy, hours worked, facility usage, work performed, etc.
  • Take inventory stock to ensure supplies and equipment are available in adequate amounts
  • Check and maintain equipment to ensure it is in working order
  • Select the most suitable cleaning materials for different types of linens, furniture, flooring, and surfaces
  • Create and lead our recycling and compost programs to reduce waste
  • Create and implement a quality assurance program for day porters & follow up via weekly audits
  • Monitor contract work and following up on discrepancies
  • Work with staff to submit, track, and monitor work orders regularly 
  • Perform or assist with cleaning duties as necessary
  • Plan and prepare employee work schedules as necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a facilities role with similar responsibilities, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience overseeing custodial and janitorial services is strongly preferred
  • Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset (i.e. facilities management) 
  • Experience in a supervisory capacity in the restaurant industry is an asset
  • Proven experience implementing best-in-class safety standards and practices
  • Familiarity with facilities management software (CMMS) and inventory management and tracking software
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite: Office 365, PowerPoint, Excel, Word
  • A proactive approach to customer service
  • Skilled at identifying opportunities to implement and improve upon facility standards and practices
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Legally able to work in the United States
  • Ability and willingness to perform key responsibilities listed above at our TD Ballpark location
  • Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays as required
