Youth Ballpark Announcer
Pay Rate: $9.00/HR
  • Maintain optimal coordination of Texas Rangers Youth Ballpark events.
  • Announce line-ups, keep score both on the digital Scoreboard and by hand, plug advertisements, and manage musical selections during Texas Rangers Youth Ballpark Rentals and Tournaments.
  • Communicate program schedules with tournament directors and coaches.
  • Set up and break down the announcer “booth”, i.e. table and chair during each scheduled event.
  • Transfer sound board equipment less than 20 lbs. to and from storage area and stands.
  • Perform maintenance on sound system and power box as needed.
  • Season will run from February to November.

  • Clear voice and good attitude when interacting with Youth Ballpark clientele.
  • Ability to speak in front of, and help manage, crowds at the Youth Ballpark.
  • Exhibits self-motivation and confidence.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate verbally.
  • Strong understanding of Youth Baseball preferred.
  • Availability on nights, weekends, and potentially holidays.
  • Ability to continuously stand and walk for 2-3 hours throughout the youth ballpark, including but not limited to, stairs and ramps.
  • Ability to work outside for extended periods of time in inclement weather including but not limited to hot, cold and rain.
  • Ability to perform under pressure.
Must pass drug screening and background check.
