Job Description Summary
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
  • Assist entire staff of Human Resource Department
  • Assist with the planning and execution of HR related events
  • Assist with office duties including but not limited to data entry, mailing, filing, check requests, reports and other miscellaneous projects 
  • Examine employee files, gather personnel records, compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to personnel activities 
  • Provide assistance in administering employee benefits/benefits program, bill reconciliation, I-9 retention, worker’s compensation claims and other HR functions 
  • Assist in maintaining personnel related documentation including staffing, training, grievances, performance evaluations, classifications and employee leaves of absences
  • Search employee files to obtain information for authorized persons/organizations when needed 
  • Assist in creating and running ad hoc reports in the HRIS
  • Analyze needs of department and adjust work load based on deadlines
  • Actively search for ways to improve processes and procedures
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in business related field such as Human Resources/Management
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
  • Experience working in HRIS; preferably Workday
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (specifically Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Some administrative experience preferred
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Self-sufficient and motivated
  • Must be organized and able to work in a high-pace environment
