Part-Time Backup Mascot

Texas Rangers Baseball Club
Arlington, TX
Facility Operations/Event Staff: Game Day/Event Staff
• Perform at a variety of scheduled appearances throughout the year (5-10/month)
• Preserve the identity of the mascot without deviating from established character including: - Body Language/Mannerisms - Attitude - Fan interaction - Team representation
• Maintain and care for mascot costume as well as props, equipment and vehicle 
• Previous professional mascot experience required (please provide video footage of performance)
• Must pass criminal background check and drug screen
• Punctuality is required
• Flexibility to work nights and weekends is required
• Fan-friendly and outgoing
• Must work well with children and staff members at events
• Creative, ambitious, energetic personality with the ability to motivate others
• Ideal candidate should be in good physical condition and highly energetic
• Candidate height requirement for this position must range between 5'11 - 6'1

Physical Demands and Working Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle large objects, tools, carts and drive a vehicle. Reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, talk, and hear in difficult environments. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee may be required to work both indoors and outdoors as required by the function, and may be also exposed to adverse conditions including inclement weather, noise, fumes etc.
