JOB SUMMARY:    The Executive Performance Nutrition Chef is responsible for applying the principles of performance nutrition to fuel professional athletes and developing a menu of high-quality foods. 
·         Exercise creative control over the menu and recipe development and work with the team Sports Dietitian to establish and fulfill specific dietary goals both on an individual and team basis along with nutrition analysis and product sourcing.
·         Organize, coordinate, prepare, and serve various meals to the Texas Ranger players, coaches and baseball operations staff. 
·         Ensure that food served follows TX Rangers food and nutrition guidelines, is made from scratch, minimally processed, and organic when available. 
·         Train all staff in daily kitchen duties, food safety/sanitation practices, all small/large equipment, and player service and satisfaction. 
·         Focus on food and physical safety and sanitation, HACCP, and production records. 
·         Must be willing to work a flexible schedule – the position will be year-round, full-time.
·         Source, order, receive, and manage inventory. 
·         Keep up-to-date with current food trends, new products, and emerging cuisines.
·         Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts, Nutrition, Dietetics, Health Science, or related field.
·         Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an executive chef in hotel, contract management, or banquet experience
·         Exceptional organizational, as well as written and verbal communication. 
·         Experience managing others and multiple projects at once. 
·         Experience working in sports-based culinary nutrition with professional athletes. 
·         Possess creativity, open-mindedness, desire to learn, understands and respects the nutrition needs of baseball athletes, and exemplifies cultural competency.
·         Exemplifies culinary nutrition applications and is able to adjust recipes and menu as deemed necessary to fit athlete’s nutritional needs.
·         Understands food allergens and special dietary needs.
